The project consists of a mix of studio, 1, 2 and 3 bedroom units as well as amenities such as a Fitness Center, Private Lounge and Central Storage. Each unit is afforded 9 foot ceilings, gourmet kitchens with granite countertops, as well as the latest appliances, in-unit washers and dryers and bamboo wood flooring throughout. Studio 5 completely redesigned the units to meet current building and barrier free codes and to improve on the original design based on tenant feedback. The richly articulated three story façade consists of two and three stories of various color brick, a fiberglass cornice and two tones of metal panels at the third floor. The design intent is to visually lower the apparent height of the building, an effort which better respects the character of the residential neighborhood.
Extensive landscaping is provided throughout the site to both enhance the spatial quality of the site as well as provide color and texture to the design.
This project is seeking to be LEED certified under the USGBC’s LEED BD+C: Homes v3 LEED 2008.
