Clearview Cinemas Hoboken
Hoboken, New Jersey
The 5-plex cinema contains seating for nearly 1,000 people and when opened will be the only cinema in the pedestrian active community. No parking was provided.
The exterior design is completely masonry in brick colors to reflect the residential history of the neighborhood, but larger concrete masonry units were selected for cost savings.
Bands of color, recessed signage elements and a large window wall to accentuate the entrance were part of the design. A projected canopy was also created to protect people waiting to either be picked up or to go into the building. The large glass area articulates the public lobbies from the mass of masonry on the exterior and brings natural daylight into the building as well.
The three smaller auditoria will be fitted with leather seats and other upscale design elements while the two large auditoria on the main level will be built with stadium seating to offer moviegoers different experiences.
